Mission Statement
The Foundation for Mohawk Valley Libraries raises money to support the mission of the Mohawk Valley Library System, helping the 14 member public libraries serve their communities.
History
The Foundation was incorporated through the New York State Education Department in May, 2014. The I.R.S. granted 501(c)(3) public charity tax-exempt status in December, 2014. Activities began in early 2015, with the first grants awarded in mid 2015.
Today the Foundation maintains an active fundraising program, and supports library service through a variety of annual grant programs.
